What Kinds of Beds are Available for the RAM 1500?

Most versions of the RAM are available with either a 5'7" bed or a 6'4" bed.

Is Every RAM 1500 Four-Wheel Drive?

No. While most versions of the RAM are available in four-wheel drive, the Tradesman HFE is only offered in two-wheel drive, and the TRX is only available in four-wheel drive.

What do the Different Rear Axle Ratio Choices Mean?

The lower the axle ratio, the lower RPM the engine will turn, which is good for efficiency. A higher axle ratio will trade maximum efficiency for better acceleration and increased responsiveness, and is helpful when towing or carrying heavy loads.

What is a Limited Slip-Differential?

This type of differential uses a device to limit speed and torque differences between its outputs. The limited slip provides assurance that some torque is made available to both wheels, especially on slippery or wet pavement and roadways.

What is an Electronic Locking Axle?

The electronic locking axle allows both wheels to turn at the same speed, and is useful in snowy, muddy, or extremely slippery conditions.
